Serving with Purpose, Leading with Grace
Introducing the devoted leaders who guide and uplift our community with faith-filled dedication.

Pr. Babu V
Associate Pastor
“Praise the Lord”
I was born in a non-Christian family in Kerala. In my late teenage years, I came to know about Jesus Christ and later gave my life to the Lord on the 14th Nov 1994. After my baptism in 1995, in my early days of the Christian faith itself, I realised my call to serve the Lord for his ministry. During my studies for optometry, I was given the opportunity to lead the worship and to preach among youth groups, both to fellow students as well as in the local church. In 2006 after my marriage, I moved to the UK and started actively engaging in the Lord’s ministry through leading worship and preaching in local churches. From 2017 until mid-2021, the Lord enabled me to pastor a church in Leicester. Later during the summer of 2021, we moved as a family to a new city in the northwest of England, where I currently serve as an associate pastor at Bethel NTCG Wirral. I also shepherd our branch church at Ellesmere Port, which has been a blessing. God has been so faithful in my life and I thank the Lord for the grace he has given to me to serve Him with everything that I have and would love to see his plans being fulfilled in the days to come.
Dr. Ashwin Ajay
Youth Leader
“Praise the Lord”

I was blessed to know Jesus from a young age during my childhood in Kerala, and since moving to the UK in 2006, God’s faithfulness has been a constant in my life. I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2016 and am currently working as a Cardiology Registrar. Alongside my career, I have had the joy of serving in worship ministries in Leicester and Liverpool, and now at Bethel NTCG, Wirral, where I am entrusted with the roles of Youth Leader and Worship Leader. As a Youth Leader, I am passionate about guiding and inspiring young people to deepen their faith and find their place within our church family. I love creating a welcoming space where they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their beliefs and ask questions. Being part of their faith journey is a true privilege, and I am grateful to have a role in helping them grow in Christ.

Br. Ajay Kumar
Secretary
“Praise the Lord”
Born into a Hindu family, my life took a transformative turn when God showed me the light, leading me to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour. This profound encounter with Christ reshaped my purpose, guiding me on a lifelong journey of faith and service. Professionally, I have had the honor of serving both in the Indian Air Force and later as an HR Manager, where I dedicated myself to leadership, discipline, and mentorship. Even on retirement, my passion for teaching English, particularly IELTS, allows me to continue empowering others with knowledge and skills. Today, I am privileged to serve as the Secretary at Bethel Church of God in Wirral, where I find immense joy in serving the Lord and helping people. My heart is committed to guiding others to the truth in Jesus Christ, sharing His love, and fulfilling His calling in my life. All glory to God, who has led me from darkness into His marvelous light.
Dr. Priyanga Biju Ajay
Sunday School Head Teacher
“Praise the Lord”

From a young age, my parents taught me about Christ’s love, and I got baptised in 2008, beginning a journey of faith that has shaped my life and purpose. Sunday school played a huge role in my spiritual growth, and my teachers inspired me to share this faith with the next generation. Today, as Headteacher of our Sunday school, my goal is to raise up young people who will serve God wholeheartedly and be ready to take on the Great Commission given to us by Jesus. I’m blessed to lead a passionate team that shares this vision and brings new ideas to help our students grow spiritually and build meaningful friendships. It’s truly a joy to work alongside such a dedicated group and see how God is using us to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve. In my professional life, I work as an Internal Medicine Doctor and graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2020.

Sis. Rachana Roy
Ladies Co-Ordinator
“Praise the Lord”
Greetings! I am Rachana Roy, and it is a great joy and privilege to serve as the Ladies’ Coordinator at Bethel Church of God. My journey with Christ began at an early age when I came to know Jesus through my parents. Their faith and guidance laid the foundation for my relationship with God. Over the years, I have witnessed His unwavering love and faithfulness. Through life’s challenges and victories, I have grown in my faith and developed a passion for serving others. In addition to my ministry role, I am a software developer. My professional experience has taught me problem-solving, adaptability, and project management—skills that I believe God has equipped me with to serve both in my career and ministry. I strive to reflect Christ’s love and integrity in every aspect of my work, using my gifts to glorify Him. My prayer is that every woman will experience God’s grace and empowerment in her life. I look forward to walking alongside you in faith as we encourage and uplift one another. May this journey be filled with God’s grace, peace, and purpose as we grow stronger in Him together.
Br. James Thankachan
Outreach Ministry Leader
“Praise the Lord”

I was born into a Christian family with an Orthodox background, but for many years, my faith was not strong. My priorities were elsewhere, and God was not at the center of my life. After completing my education, I moved to Bombay for work and later to Oman in 1995. While living in Muscat, I continued as a lukewarm Orthodox Christian, unsure of my purpose and without real hope for the future.
In 2001, I got married in an Orthodox ceremony, but as my family grew from two to four by 2010, I began facing financial struggles, mental burdens, and family issues. There was no peace, and I was deeply uncertain about my family’s future.
In 2012, everything changed when I met a pastor who guided me toward the truth. He regularly visited my home, teaching me about the right belief, and through his mentorship, I found clarity and a renewed faith. By 2014, my wife and I made the decision to be baptized together, as it was her desire for us to embrace the Pentecostal faith as a family. This journey deepened our faith and changed our lives.
From then on, I became an active member of SRM Pentecostal Church in Muscat, serving for over eight years. I was actively involved in the youth ministry, helping young people grow in their faith, understand God’s word, and engage in church activities.
In May 2021, I moved to the UK for my children’s education. By 2022, my family and I became members of Bethel Church of God, where we found a new church family and continued our spiritual journey. I took charge of the Outreach Ministry, with a passion for spreading the Gospel and helping others come to know Christ. I am grateful for God’s guidance in my life and for the opportunity to serve His kingdom.

Br. Joel Saji Mammen
Youth Secretary
“Praise the Lord”
I was born and raised in a Pentecostal family, and my faith has been the foundation of my life. Currently, I am an active member of the Enanchored Youth Ministry here in the UK, where I have the privilege of serving and growing in my walk with Christ. Being part of this ministry allows me to mentor and encourage young people in their spiritual journey, helping them build a strong relationship with God and discover their purpose in Him. I am passionate about creating a vibrant and inclusive environment where youth can thrive both spiritually and emotionally.
Professionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Automation and Robotics Engineering and work as a Systems Engineer, specializing in offshore and onshore projects within the oil and gas sector. My journey reflects a balance between my career and my commitment to faith, and I am dedicated to using my skills and experiences to glorify God and support the next generation in their spiritual growth.

I was blessed to be born into a pastoral family in Kerala, where I grew up in a parsonage surrounded by a spiritually enriching environment. My childhood was truly blessed as I lived with my parents, who nurtured me in faith. From an early age, God placed a deep desire in my heart to become a missionary doctor. Despite various challenges along the way, God in His faithfulness, opened many wonderful doors for me.
By God’s grace, I graduated in medicine from a university in the Philippines in 2017 and worked in Kerala for five years. After moving to the UK for my higher studies in 2023, I was blessed to find Bethel Church of God, Wirral where I had the privilege to serve as Deputy Youth Secretary.
As a youth leader, I am passionate about guiding young people to remain strong in their faith and steadfast in Christ. Alongside my career, I am wholeheartedly committed to serving the Lord in every way He calls me, dedicating my life to the advancement of His Kingdom.
